AidTrans Soft History and Experience

Our founders have been working in the translation/localization industry since the late nineties, with all available translation memory tools and localization tools, as well as a variety of other tools for translators.

The lack of an affordable standard tool was an inspiration to launch AidTransSoft in 2004 and to start developing version 1.00 of AidTrans Studio. It was released in the fall of 2004 as a translation memory tool for internal use, with only basic file format support and a limited translation memory functionality set.

In late 2005 the functional design of AidTrans Studio version 2.0 was completed and the development process began. In the fall of 2006 a testing program was started in order to achieve a release status in 2008.

By the extended testing process along with a software quality assurance system including code inspection, AidTrans Studio is becoming a more and more reliable translation tool. Using state of art development tools based on .Net we managed to keep the software prices reasonable thanks to a shorter development cycle.
