About AidTrans Studio
|
AidTrans Studio is a translation memory tool, it provides tools to manage both translation memory (tm) and terminology database (tdb), translation editor and a set of useful utilities for tasks related to the translation process.
AidTrans Studio is designed for freelance translators as well as translation services providers like translation agencies, localization companies or corporate translation departments. Application architecture is based on Microsoft .Net Framework, latest achievement in software development for Windows platform.

AidTrans Studio belongs to the so called CAT tools, as it provides ‘aid’ for the translation process. In general, translation memory tools are part of a large family of software tools called translation tools or just tools for translators. Of course there are many types of software tools for translators, but tm tools are definitely among the most important ones.
Supported formats:
- Microsoft Word 2003 Xml files (*.xml),
- HTML Files (.html,.htm,.php,.jsp,.asp,.aspx,.ascx),
- XML files (*.xml,*.xsl,*.xlf),
- TTX Files (.ttx),
- Odt files (*.otd,*.ods,*.odp),
- Microsoft Excel 2007(.xlsx, .xltx,.xlsm),
- Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 (*.pptx,*.ppsx,*.potx),
- Microsoft Word 2007 (*.docx,*.dotx,*.docm,*.dotm),
- Custom files (.*). To prepare custom files for translation you need to use AidTrans Studio utilities.
